Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you're juggling school, relationships, family expectations, or just trying to figure out who you are and what matters to you. I work best with students who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or like they’re carrying more than they can manage alone. You might be navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, family conflict, or a major life transition—and I’m here to help you feel grounded again. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I’ll never judge you for what you’re feeling. Instead, I’ll support you in understanding yourself better and building tools to manage what’s hard. Before opening my private practice, I worked for years in a medical setting supporting young people and families through complex challenges. Today, I specialize in working with individuals living with chronic illnesses, as well as the caregivers and siblings who support them—but many of my clients also come to me with everyday stress, identity questions, or big decisions about the future. If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you where you are, help you make sense of your experiences, and walk alongside you as you grow, I’d love to connect.

My goal is to walk alongside my clients as they navigate the unique experience they're currently facing. I strive to create a safe place for individuals to come and share their experience with Grief, Loss, Caregiving, Anxiety, Depression and Life Transitions. I integrate CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Person-Centered Therapy throughout the counseling process but may use various theories of therapy to best serve you and your situation. My experience includes working as a Grief Counselor and Support Group Coordinator at a hospice organization, where I was able to support many individuals coping with the significant journey of grief. I aim to guide clients in discovering their patterns and getting off autopilot to begin living a life they choose! I am strongly connected with non-traditional lifestyles and work to cultivate a safe place for all people, most frequently working with clients in queer, non-monogamous, & kink relationships. Most of my clients are wanting to work on issues mostly unrelated to but within the context of these communities and lifestyles, and are tired of having to spend so much time explaining the context to therapists unfamiliar with their world. I also work with folks looking to explore these aspects of themselves for the first time. Growing up, my father's Navy career caused our family to move every 0.5-2.5 years. Since transition was my constant, I developed unique insight into the complex intersection and paradox of excitement, anxiety, fear, resistance, confidence, insecurity, love, and hate that can all be felt simultaneously during times of major change. This is why I love working with college students and helping them to navigate experiences such as: being away from home and re-configuring family relationships; exploring new friendships and romantic relationships; discovering their life path(s); learning a larger variety of ways to cope, communicate, and relate to themselves and the world; and diving more deeply into issues related to identity (e.g. sexuality, gender, higher consciousness, vocation, etc.). I tailor my approach with each of my clients, but primarily utilize mindfulness, experiential activities, and somatic techniques (i.e. deepening the relationship and communication between your mind and body).

Are you having trouble with falling and staying asleep? Are you feeling anxious and overwhelmed? I specialize in working with people who are having trouble sleeping, who are experiencing anxiety, and who are going through reproductive transitions or who are experiencing distress related to their reproductive health (e.g., PMDD, pregnancy, postpartum, infertility). In my work, I aim to cultivate a safe space to hold and honor your emotions, while also providing you with new coping tools to help you process your emotions, get some distance from your thoughts, and help you engage with your life. To do this, I use a blend of evidence-based psychotherapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy.

If insight alone hasn’t changed your patterns, something deeper is begging to be understood. High functioing anxiety? Disconnected, or stuck in repeating relationship and life patterns? Overwhelmed or just plain blah? It's life changing to incorporate body, mind and heart to fully develop a strong internal sense of self. I integrate psychotherapy with the Enneagram and yoga therapy to uncover the unconscious patterns driving stress, attachment, and emotional reactivity. Knowing your Enneagram type and subtype often accelerates therapy by revealing why you cope the way you do—so change becomes embodied, precise, and lasting. With 25+ years of experience, I offer a holistic, trauma-informed approach integrating cognitive behavioral and somatic therapy. My style is straightforward and supportive. As a 2x published author, Enneagram-certified therapist, and yoga therapist, I work with individuals and couples to customize mind-body treatment that supports real, lasting change. Witnessing the transformation as you move from wounded, unbalanced and fearful, to being empowered, focused and self-reliant, is one of my greatest rewards. The power of growth never fails to amaze me, and I am grateful to be part of your journey! I welcome you to begin this process! Now, all you have to do is click the button to start. I've got you! :)

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works primarily with adolescents and adults, with a particular interest in supporting college students and young adults. I enjoy working with people navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship concerns, identity development, major life transitions, and the pressures that can come with academics, athletics, work, and figuring out what comes next. My approach to therapy is collaborative, active, and individualized. I draw from evidence-based treatments, including cognitive-behavioral, acceptance-based, and trauma-informed approaches, while recognizing that therapy should not feel like a one-size-fits-all process. I work to understand both what someone is struggling with and the broader context of their life, relationships, values, strengths, and goals. I aim to create a space where clients can be candid about what is going well, what is not, and what they would like to change. Depending on a client's needs, our work may involve developing practical strategies for managing symptoms, understanding patterns in thoughts, emotions, and relationships, processing difficult experiences, or identifying ways to live more consistently with their values. My goal is for therapy to provide both a supportive relationship and meaningful, practical movement toward the changes that matter to each client.

Looking for a therapist can feel overwhelming and uncertain, especially when trauma, identity, or religious experiences have made it hard to feel safe in your own life. I support adults navigating trauma, anxiety, identity, and suicidal ideation, with a focus on LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse clients. I provide collaborative, trauma-informed care that builds coping skills, increases insight, and supports lasting change. I support clients in building strong coping skills, stability, and a sense of safety before moving into deeper trauma work. Using CAMS, DBT, IFS, trauma-informed and trauma-focused approaches, I offer collaborative, affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients navigating trauma, identity, and suicidal thoughts. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you’ve been carrying a lot on your own. You don’t have to do it alone. College can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming in ways you didn’t expect. You might feel like everyone else has it figured out while you’re quietly struggling with stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others. Maybe you’re navigating a breakup, loss, or a shift in who you thought you’d be. I work with people who are trying to make sense of who they are while balancing school, relationships, and future pressure. My clients are thoughtful and self-aware, often the strong one for others, but underneath feel burned out or unsure of where they fit. In our work together, we’ll slow things down and make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface. Therapy is collaborative and active. I’ll help you understand patterns, build tools to manage stress, and feel more grounded, confident, and connected.
