Life can be a lot! There are times when people may feel hopeless, isolated, or like they have no choice but to struggle alone. As a queer person, I know the importance of connection and community. My goal is to offer a space where you can feel safe in vulnerability and supported in facing challenges. I work primarily with adults and college-aged individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, or relationship issues. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in emotion-focused, relational work. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to find the best fit for your unique needs, believing that healing is not one-size-fits-all. Being ready to start therapy doesn’t mean you have to feel ready to dive in head-first. Sometimes, the first challenge is simply taking that first step. If you want to do that, I will meet you at your pace with honesty, care, and respect as we work together toward understanding and change.
My practice focuses on helping clients feel safe, heard and understood in order to process current experiences. Through identification of thoughts and feelings we can then look at new ways of coping and developing skills to manage the human experience. The foundation of my work is evidence based cognitive behavioral therapy. All sessions are conducted via a HIPPA secure telehealth platform.
I am located right in Harvard Square in an old Victorian house on Mt. Auburn st. I have daytime hours, early evening hours and I am in the office on Saturdays. My approach is psychodynamic. This basically means I will be an active participant in the healing relationship. We will look at all areas of life and how things from the past may be interfering with the present. I will always call you within 24 hours or less. I have traveled extensively in my life and so I welcome students from the international community as well as local students. I am a native Bostonian! I welcome undergraduates as well as graduate students.
HOPE AND HELP FOR YOUR RELATIONSHIP Your relationship is deeply important so the sooner it warms up, the better. We’ll find positive, practical steps you can take to make quick progress toward the shared future you long for, without dwelling on past problems or your childhood. You can stop the arguing, improve communication, recover from affairs, end abuse, enjoy satisfying sex, renew commitment, and rediscover the joy you once felt. What to expect from our work together: From my own life and my work as a counselor, I know how hard it is to stay connected over the long term. I also know it’s worth it. My research-based approach dramatically reduces the risk of separation and divorce. Your relationship is worth fighting for. Together, we can: -- Bring back warmth and connection -- Overcome frustrating sexual issues -- Make sense of your mixed-orientation marriage or relationship -- Put an end to hurtful and abusive behavior The first step is the most important. Your voice and perspective as a woman or girl are celebrated here. This is a dedicated space where you can be comfortable discussing female centered topics and experiences. I believe that social interactions, societal stresses and unique biology impact girls and women in ways that require a female centered lens for mental health treatment. Coming to therapy knowing this is a specialized practice can lead to greater comfort exploring trauma and female specific issues. These deeper conversations build the therapeutic alliance and increase the potential that women and girls will see improvement in their mental health symptoms

You deserve a therapist who really sees you, not just your symptoms. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who specializes in anxiety, depression, relationships, and trauma across the lifespan. My approach is warm and collaborative, rooted in evidence-based and trauma-informed practices like CBT and DBT. I also incorporate creativity, mindfulness, and the things that matter to you, whether that’s music, art, sports, or storytelling. Before opening my private practice, I served as the Clinical Program Director of a Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) unit, where I supported individuals in acute mental health crises. Prior to that, I worked as a Trauma-Focused sports-based clinician and Program Coordinator, integrating play, movement, and expressive arts to help clients heal in ways that felt empowering and culturally responsive. I've also worked with perpetrators and victims of domestic violence and co-authored publications on Alzheimer's research in medical journals. Across every setting, my focus has always been the same: creating a safe, personalized space that focuses on the client's needs. My practice is exclusively telehealth for your convenience and privacy. I welcome adults (18+) seeking meaningful support, not just surface-level solutions. You deserve a space to slow down and feel truly supported. So let’s figure out what works for you together. Please visit my website below to schedule a free 15 minute consultation. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, Mindfulness, and Interpersonal approaches in my work with adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress management, and LGBTQIA+-related concerns. I am deeply passionate about healing Black and Brown communities and is committed to providing therapy for clients who share similar lived experiences. Seeking psychotherapy is a big step. I strive to provide a warm, accepting, and safe space where students can freely explore their experiences and emotions. Guided by our understanding of your unique story, we will come up with a personalized way of working together to meet your goals. I work with students who are navigating relationships with mentors, friends, and romantic partners, and grappling with questions of identity and career. I also see students struggling with serious mental health issues such as depression, anxiety/panic, and trauma. I was trained at Veterans' Affairs medical centers in treating PTSD, and my graduate training focused on issues of religion and identity.
Emotions are normal, even hard to handle ones. Struggling is normal; it’s all part of the human experience. I’m here to teach you and empower you to manage and cope with strong emotions, stressors, and hardships. Through our time together, you will learn about the mind and how it connects with the body, and how to apply this knowledge to feel better. I specialize in treating trauma, depression, anxiety, dual diagnosis involving addiction and mental illness, positive psychology, and holistic healing. The mind is a powerful tool. With specific therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, (changing one’s thoughts to then change one’s emotions and behaviors), we can restructure our brain to operate in a more optimal manner, resulting in less stress, anxiety and depression symptoms, and more meaning, joy and fulfillment. With my therapeutic expertise, concrete tools, empathy, and compassion, I will guide you towards the best version of yourself who is better equipped to handle life’s stressors and make positive changes.
