You’re never enough. Or at least that’s how it feels. Maybe it's how much you make, how much you do, or how hard you work. Maybe it's someone else telling you that. Maybe it's your own inner voice. In any case, you're suffering—either because you're doing everything you can, or you're struggling to do anything at all. And in both cases, you feel like a failure. If this sounds like you, you're not alone. I will help you turn the suffering into struggling. Both are inevitable in this life, but struggling leads to growth and, ultimately, forward momentum. I have considerable experience with AD/HD, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and substance use. I'm comfortable working with a wide variety of ages and backgrounds, and I also bring to my work a strong understanding of issues related to race, ethnicity, and LGBT+ identities. Therapy should pay more attention to strengths than deficits. If life is an uphill battle, then we'll acknowledge your effort of trudging up that hill. I see therapy as two experts working together. If I'm an expert in mental health, you're the expert in your own life.

I provide therapy to adolescents and young adults. We can work together to address the stressors in your life and improve your overall wellbeing. Whether you want to address symptoms of depression or anxiety, work on self-esteem, relationship stress, family issues, improve performance in sport, or would benefit from support during a life transition, I want to provide you with a supportive space. As a therapist, I specialize in supporting young adults and couples as they navigate life’s transitions, relationships, and challenges. My client-centered approach explores root causes while building practical coping skills for daily life. Using a trauma-informed lens, I integrate yoga-based mindfulness and somatic practices to support nervous system regulation and deeper healing. Psychodynamic and narrative therapy help us understand how your worldview was shaped and how it influences your present. We may also incorporate IFS based parts work to gently explore and understand the different parts of your inner experience. With training in the Gottman Method, I help couples strengthen communication, connection, and trust. Together we focus on deepening friendship while managing the practical demands of partnership. You’ll learn tools for healthy conflict resolution and collaboration, remembering you are on the same team. I am committed to creating a nonjudgmental, compassionate space where you feel safe and supported. I understand that beginning therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.

I am a Harvard-trained, Harvard-affiliated, board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. I strongly believe that the best psychiatric care is centered on the whole person, not just on a diagnosis or a specific medication. I provide weekly therapy and work with patients to determine if medications can be of help. I do not believe that everyone needs a medication, but they can be useful in treating particular psychiatric symptoms; I will work with you in order to find the best treatment modality that meets your goals and needs. My training in psychotherapy includes psychodynamic psychotherapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Exposure/Response Prevention (Ex/RP) and Prolonged Exposure (PE). I provide psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. In order to offer comprehensive treatment, I do not accept insurance in my private practice. I am currently conducting sessions via telemedicine only. Please feel free to send me an email to set up a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation so I can answer any questions and see if I can be of help.
