My approach is a solution focused, strength-based perspective. I pull from a variety of therapeutic techniques to best address the individual needs of my clients. Specialty/areas of interest: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, bereavement, infertility and grief counseling, and general life transitions- specifically young adults exploring their adult identify and new parents adjusting to the transition of parenthood. I offer secure, confidential telehealth therapy. You participate where it is most comfortable and convenient for you. ***I also offer short term summer counseling for college students’ home for summer break. I am a college therapist during the academic school year and I am aware of the challenge summer breaks can be for students who are temporarily home and away from their primary therapist at college. I offer short term therapy to bridge the gap in care.
I am a client-centered psychologist who works with adults and adolescents (13+). I believe therapy should involve the whole person - including our internal, social, societal, spiritual, and physical selves. I invite clients to be collaborators in finding and exploring what will help them achieve growth. I provide a warm, inclusive, and nonjudgmental environment and believe a strong client-therapist relationship is essential for growth and change. I integrate aspects of multiple therapeutic modalities, including behavioral approaches (CBT, DBT, behavioral medicine/health psychology), mindfulness-based interventions, humanism, existential, relational and developmental theory, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic-informed care. I help patients/clients address a range of concerns including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use struggles, difficulties in relationships, grief/loss, identifying life goals, navigating life transitions, and balancing work-life demands. I received my training at William James College (Newton, MA). Trained with Advocates Community Counseling, Rutgers University College Counseling, and Boston Behavioral Medicine. I completed a post-doctoral behavioral health fellowship at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates and worked there as a staff psychologist until October 2019. College is a time of transition where we learn not only about academics, but about who we are and how to navigate the myriad challenges of life. It is both exciting and stressful, fun and scary. And when we struggle with added anxiety, depression, traumas, relationship difficulties, and more it can make the whole experience feel overwhelming. I specialize in helping college students to cope with these challenges so they can thrive in school, work, and everyday life. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, where I majored in Psychology and developed my interest in helping others. I went on to receive a Masters of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston and then worked there for 6 years before starting my practice. I blend elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy into my practice. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and have seen dramatic results from its use, helping clients to overcome longstanding problems much more rapidly than with other therapeutic techniques. My practice is now fully telehealth, giving clients maximum flexibility for scheduling and convenience.

During my career of being a therapist for over a decade, I have found that the working relationship is pivotal for any change to happen in therapy. I take great care to foster a sense of emotional safety so exploration, processing, and developing new understandings and patterns of interaction with one’s self, others, and the world may take place. I enjoy working with undergraduate and graduate university students, young adults, and working professionals who experience difficulties with general distress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and ADHD. By using elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy, contemporary psychodynamic therapy, and emotional focused therapy I ally with people to aid them in learning more about themselves while dislodging obstacles that may be present in their lives and relationships. I am passionate about helping people who are currently feeling like they are struggling in their lives and working with them to achieve what they envision their life to be through either weekly individual or couple therapy sessions. If you desire to see lasting changes in your work, life, and your relationships, I encourage you to reach out to me, so we can talk more about what you are trying to achieve through therapy.
Hi, my name is Hang (she/they) and I specialize in psychotherapy and life coaching. **I am currently ONLY accepting new clients for teletherapy.** I am collaborative, warm, and energetic, and social justice guides my work. Prior to private practice, I worked in a college counseling center and specialized in working with first-generation college students, students of color, LGBTQ students, students who are immigrants or are children of immigrants, and international students. Psychotherapy: I work from an integrative perspective, rooted in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (especially Schema Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and Attachment Theory. Treatment goals are collaboratively set with options for short-term or long-term therapy. I specialize in working with clients dealing with the stresses of intersectional identities, particularly clients who identify as women, non-binary, LGBTQ, refugees, immigrants, and/or of color. Other areas of expertise include: anxiety, depression, complex/developmental trauma, self-esteem, assertiveness, and relationship issues. As a therapist, I am authentic, warm, collaborative, and can gently confront if needed. Life Coaching is present- and future-focused and solution-focused. Life coaching sessions are usually short-term and are scheduled depending on specific goals. As a life coach, I strive to be your most thoughtful collaborator, most compassionate sounding board, and loudest cheerleader.
You might be struggling to understand why you fall into the same damaging patterns in your relationships. Or why, no matter how much you want to, you just can't seem to let yourself be vulnerable with the people you love most. Or maybe you're facing questions about your path in life and trying to fit into a predetermined mold. I believe we shouldn't have to force ourselves to blend into one aspect of our identities. We deserve to embrace all parts of ourselves and create our own unique balance from our cultural, gender, emotional identities and more. Attachment theory, trauma informed interventions, and a personal and therapeutic perspective of multicultural identities are some of the things that allow me to support you in better understanding yourself and get answers to your biggest questions about you. All with the goal of feeling most aligned with who you truly are. Life today can fill our heads with so many complexities that we sometimes lack the capacity to figure all this out on our own. The therapeutic space we create can be dedicated to the personal challenges that have had to take a backseat. Those parts of you deserve the time.
Hi, I’m Kaitlyn, a trauma-informed therapist who helps college students navigate stress, self-doubt, and relationship challenges while trying to get the most out of college and figuring out who they really are. If you’ve ever tried to study for finals while spiraling over a relationship conflict, or pulled an all-nighter because you were rewriting a paper that was already good enough or procrastinated so hard you needed every last minute before hitting submit, I get it. Many of the students I work with struggle to keep up appearances while silently wondering if they’re falling behind. I’ve worked with undergraduate and graduate students at Harvard University and understand the intense pressure to perform, achieve, and never disappoint anyone (especially your parents). Therapy with me is collaborative, honest, and sometimes even a little funny (because laughing about how much you overthink counts as progress). Together, we’ll unpack what’s fueling your stress, explore the patterns that keep you stuck, and build tools to help you feel more secure, confident, and grounded in your own life. Finding a therapist who is the right step is essential to therapeutic success. I encourage you to shop around and also offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we could be a good fit. If interested in a free consult, feel free to email me or fill out an inquiry form on my website. I hope you get the support that you're looking for and more.
