Therapists for college students near Portland, OR
I believe that we make meaning of our lives through stories. We each have a story of who we are and why our lives unfold the way they do. Our work will explore how these stories influence your present experience and connection to the world. My own story includes themes of a rural upbringing, engaging in the punk and bike messenger scenes, leaning into my queer/trans identities, and learning how to utilize outdoor adventure and movement as a tool for growth and healing. I am interested in working with anyone interested in in nervous system regulation and reconnecting to nature. I am particularly passionate about working outdoor adventurers, athletes, college students, and those in the LGBTQIA+ community. I use a nature based somatic approach that utilizes tools from narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, polyvagal theory, mindfulness practices, and parts work. I see all my work through a trauma-informed lens and I begin with nervous system regulation to set the foundation for growth and change. I provide therapy outdoors, in the office, or online. Please reach out to start your journey today and discover the power and strength within your story. I look forward to working with you.
Do you struggle to say "no" to people? Do you feel guilty when you do? Do you feel pressure to make others happy while never getting what you need? Do you stay in bad relationships for too long? Do you feel stuck relationally, emotionally, or in your career path? There are explanations for this behavior and ways to change it. I love helping people learn how to have healthy boundaries with others, their work, or some other habit they are concerned about. If you want to understand yourself better and possibly learn to make healthier choices based on your values, I would love to work with you. Therapy is sometimes the first positive step that represents caring for yourself. It is an acknowledgement that you are worth the effort. I am an ally regardless of race, culture, physical ability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, immigration status, political affiliation, sexual orientation, or spiritual beliefs. Many people experience symptoms of anxiety and depression because they are currently OR have been in relation (family, friend, partner, co-worker, etc) to another person who has OR has had a substance or other behavioral problem. The negative effects can be long-lasting, confusing, and persist without treatment. If this is a familiar for you, call me.

As a psychologist, I specialize in working with students - individuals and couples - navigating life transitions, anxiety, relationship issues, and stress. I worked in a college counseling center for four years and have extensive experience working with undergraduate, graduate, and law students. I offer a warm, collaborative space to explore patterns, build insight, and move toward greater clarity, connection, and alignment with what matters most to you. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected—navigating a life change, relationship shifts, or school pressure. You’re thoughtful and self-aware, but stuck in patterns that aren’t working. You want space to reflect, understand yourself more deeply, and feel more grounded in how you show up in your life and relationships. If you're feeling stretched thin, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward, you're not alone. Therapy can be a place to slow down, reflect, and feel supported as you navigate what’s next. I work primarily with queer and trans individuals and those navigating identity, transition, and healing from systemic and interpersonal harm. I am also passionate about supporting medical providers, neurodivergent folks, and those that have experienced chronic and/or complex trauma. Drawing from Relational-Cultural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and components of Dilectical Behavioral Theapy, I support clients in deepening self-understanding, building meaningful connections, and moving toward lives aligned with their values. My work is rooted in harm reduction, Health at Every Size, and a commitment to collective liberation and decolonial practice.

Together, we’ll explore what’s been holding you back and begin creating the kind of life and relationships that feel more aligned with who you are. I support clients in navigating anxiety, self-doubt, and life transitions with warmth and practical tools. In our work, you'll gain insight, set boundaries, and reconnect with your strengths so you can feel more grounded, empowered, and aligned with who you truly are
I have spent the last 6 years working with young adults in the community. Many are in a new place and dealing with transition in their lives. Living far away from home and having to "adult" can be overwhelming. Figuring out what you want to do after college can also be stressful. I would help to provide support during times. I am a playful therapist that has a genuine, person centered approach. I am not a blank faced therapist. I believe that the biggest intervention is the therapeutic alliance that is created between the therapist and client. Building trust, being approachable and connecting with my client's, these things are very important to me. I have lived experience of walking through this community as a Black queer women; this experience helps me connect and build rapport with BIPOC and queer folx. I have experience treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis and pre psychotic symptoms. I love supporting people with creating healthy relationships and boundaries, working on assertive and healthy communication. Please check out my website, there you can schedule a free 15 consultation. I would love to meet you to see if we would be a good fit!

Therapy is a journey of healing, growth, self discovery and so much more. Each person brings with them a different story and unique perspective, which gives us the opportunity to meet you where you are in that moment, with empathy and support. We believe the role of the therapist is to be there as a guide in the process of helping you trust your inner self more and assist in learning new coping strategies to better manage the adversities in life. All services are via Tele-Health, which gives the Client the comfort of their items and space during the sessions, often helping to feel more secure. I have advanced training in perinatal (pregnancy and postpartum) mental health and am honored to support you on the profound journey to parenthood. I work from a relational model and primarily use acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and elements of internal family systems (IFS). My work is to walk with people in liberatory practices that allow us to return home to ourselves, our communities, and our place in this world. I aim to embody an orientation toward collective liberation. The mental health industry is deeply influenced by white supremacy, capitalism, and colonialism. As a white, queer, gender-resistant, liberation-oriented therapist, I aim to disrupt and dismantle those oppressive systems as they exist within me and in the larger society. I incorporate decolonial, abolitionist, and transformative justice frameworks into our work as we meet one-on-one or in many relational configurations. In addressing the overwhelming effects of systemic inequities and intergenerational traumas, our work together explores how oppressions and intergenerational traumas factor into one’s lived experiences and understandings. This includes the ways that these experiences manifest in our lives as anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns we carry.
