You feel like there's a rule book for life that you missed. Things were ok until college started, but now the social stressors, time management, relationships, or even just getting easy assignments done is hard. You have/need an ADHD or Autism diagnosis, or maybe people tell you that you should, but what does that really mean? I can help you understand what this means for you; how impacts you, and what this might mean in relationships. This might include work on planning, executive functioning, anxiety, working on personal goal setting/finding direction, or a diagnostic evaluation, or being yourself. You'll have a safe place to be yourself, insight into your life, and concrete tips for moving forward, allowing you to be the best possible version of yourself. It's about you.
"If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If not now, when?" -Hillel Are you struggling with anxiety or depression related to school, parenting or postpartum, employment, retirement, a relationship, family or a major life transition? Have you had difficulty managing relationships with those around you due to anxiety or depression? Maybe you have struggled with these feelings for a long period of time and you haven't figured out how to address them. Perhaps these unnerving feelings came on suddenly and you are not sure how to cope with the discomfort. I aim to help clients recognize their unhelpful negative thoughts and manage them with in-the-moment techniques. We can work to identify and tackle them together. Practical feedback often helps to normalize behaviors that are long-standing while helping one move away from shame toward acceptance. Having worked in the field of mental health for over 10 years, my expertise lies in confidence, self worth and self esteem skill building, anxiety and stress management and support with life transitions. Treatment may include but is not limited to strengths based therapy, solution focused therapy, executive functioning management, exposure therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. I tailor it to what it is that you need throughout our work together. We make things practical. *I offer in person and virtual therapy. Welcome! I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice at PhilaPsy, where I offer psychotherapy for adults of all ages and specialize in working with individuals in early to middle adulthood. I have a varied practice, with people coming to therapy for a wide range of reasons. My areas of particular focus include working with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, transitions or changes in life, stress, self-esteem, identity, relationship issues, interpersonal conflict, trauma, and feeling lonely, angry, empty or stuck. Across contexts, I provide identity affirming, culturally responsive, relational care. Therapy invites people to explore, process, and make sense of their ideas, emotions, experiences, challenges, and areas of conflict. I approach this work with collaboration and curiosity, bringing focus to how our relationships, social systems, personal histories, and development inform the ways we experience ourselves, others, and the worlds we inhabit. I believe a central part of feeling helped is finding a therapist who brings hope, humor, safety, and a sense of belonging. With the right fit, therapy can provide building blocks for people to heal, find community, uncover a path for themselves, and discover ways of living in this world that feel meaningful. If you are interested in reaching out, I offer a free phone consultation to get a sense of what you are looking for, address questions, and discuss possible next steps. Together, we can determine if we might be a good fit. To learn more about my work, please visit: philapsy.com

The New London Counseling Center is a place for our community to gather, connect, and heal. We are a not-for-profit organization that is committed to promoting the emotional, relational and spiritual well-being of individuals and families. We believe in providing high quality, compassionate therapy and educational workshops to our community, regardless of one’s ability to pay. Our team of licensed clinicians bring their diverse experiences and specialties to our practice with the goal of creating a culture that promotes mental well-being and destigmatizes therapy. We acknowledge that we are all broken, and we can all benefit from professional support at one time or another. Through our community-centered approach, we intend to tear down the walls of traditional mental health delivery by meeting people where they are every day – their places of work, their gyms, their civic groups or places to volunteer – and offer free community workshops.
At The Center, we understand how important it is to find the right person to help. That’s why we offer specialized services by highly-trained, experienced and licensed professionals, who are not only compassionate, but who use their expertise to understand the situation, consider possible causes and develop effective solutions.
