Corisa’s goal is to offer a therapeutic space of connection and always aims to move at the client’s own pace to tap into the resiliency and capacity for growth that resides within them. Whether clients are wanting to grow their skills in coping with life’s many challenges, to know themselves more fully, or to seek healing from trauma, Corisa is glad to meet clients in this space and feels honored to be able to collaborate with individuals and families on their therapy journey. Corisa is an EMDR certified clinician and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SE) that is also trained in Theraplay, CPC-CBT, TF-CBT and often integrates elements of parts work (IFS), sandplay, play therapy, and other attachment, trauma-informed, and brain and body connecting approaches that best meet clients where they are. She believes that the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is an integral part of the therapeutic journey and having a good fit where clients feel safe, comfortable, and respected is of the utmost importance to her. When not in session, Corisa can be found practicing yoga at her neighborhood studio, birding in a local park, taking in a new independent film, or off exploring local restaurants and dives. Outside of that, she loves spending time outside as often as possible and is always planning her next travel destination with friends or with her partner in their built-out transit van.
My clients don't come to therapy to hear someone nod and agree with everything they say. That isn't worth their time or money. They want real help. They want to know "what to do" and "how to fix it" because they are struggling with depression, severe anxiety, relationship problems, trauma, suicidal thoughts, parenting issues, and other painful situations. They're looking for a true expert that they can actually talk to. I am a member of PSYPACT which means I can see clients in every state that is a member of PSYPACT. I'm also licensed in both TN and MA. I'm a DBT-Linehan Board Certified Clinician and an expert in Borderline Personality Disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, self-harm, and oppositional adolescents. I am an Associate faculty member at Vanderbilt University and have served as a trainer and consultant for a variety of hospitals, schools, and the military. I founded and own PSYCHē, PLLC, a private network of therapists across multiple states. Our job is to pair our clients with great clinicians all over the country. PSYCHē also offers various Standard DBT skills groups and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) skills classes online ranging from $100-$125. New members can begin right away! Visit www.psychepllc.com/groups for more information about groups, meeting times, or to enroll online. Changing people's lives for the better is my life's purpose and where I get a sense of meaning. I love my job :) I look forward to meeting you.

College can be one of the most exciting—and overwhelming—seasons of life. Between academic pressure, changing friendships, family expectations, relationships, and figuring out who you are, it’s easy to feel stressed, anxious, or unsure of yourself. You don’t have to navigate that alone. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience supporting teens and young adults through life’s transitions. My approach is strength-based and relationship-focused, meaning I see you as more than your stress, anxiety, or struggles. Together, we’ll build on the strengths you already have while developing practical tools to help you manage overwhelming thoughts, regulate emotions, and feel more confident in your decisions. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness strategies to help you better understand your thought patterns, cope with stress, and respond to challenges in healthier ways. My style is laid back, supportive, and collaborative—I want therapy to feel like a safe space where you can be honest, ask hard questions, and explore who you’re becoming without judgment. Whether you’re feeling anxious about school, struggling with motivation, dealing with relationship conflict, navigating self-worth, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to walk alongside you as you build clarity, resilience, and confidence in this season of life.
I love working with people facing challenges in their relationships, whether romantic or otherwise. My goal is to help you identify what you truly want, where you encounter obstacles, and to help you address any self-imposed obstacles. We'll work together to make change happen fast so that what you want is more likely to become reality. I won’t just nod along, so if you're looking for someone who doesn't skirt around the issues, you're on the right profile. I have experience working with a with a variety of concerns, including but not limited to: relationship distress, mood disorders, anxiety, impulsive behavior, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, maladaptive perfectionism, and teens at risk for personality disorders. I'm well-versed in both DBT and RO-DBT, both of which shape my approach to therapy. I have been intensively trained in Radically-Open DBT (RO-DBT), a specialized treatment for Chronic Depression, Anorexia-Nervosa, and disorders of Over-Control (OC). Our practice, PSYCHē, is a private network of therapists across multiple states. Our job is to pair our clients with great clinicians all over the country. PSYCHē also offers various Standard DBT groups and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) skills classes online ranging from $100-$125. Groups are like a class, not therapy. New members can begin right away! In a world that often values toughness, being a highly sensitive and soft-hearted person can feel like a burden. We might say “yes” when we really mean “no”. And we may feel like we have to act differently to fit in, even if it means putting others before ourselves. Sometimes it can feel tough to find our inner courage, speak up for what we want, and create positive boundaries. This can be especially true when we’re striving for success in our careers, supporting our loved ones emotionally, or navigating big life changes. Through brainspotting, mindfulness, and somatic techniques, we’ll gently uncover the patterns that have kept you feeling stuck and build the self-trust needed to honor your own needs. As you release emotional weight and reconnect with yourself, you’ll cultivate resilience, confidence, and a deeper sense of balance in your life. If you’re ready to embrace your sensitivity, set healthier boundaries, and reconnect with yourself, I’m here to help. Let’s work together to create a life that feels balanced, authentic, and fulfilling. Reach out today to begin your journey toward healing and growth.

When we are changing and growing, we can often feel anxious, overwhelmed, disoriented or uncertain. It is possible to move through the discomfort and regain our sense of empowerment. Experiences in our past can show up in our present relationships, mood, behavior and worldview. Counseling may include a combination of experiential, EMDR, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. We'll build off your strengths and explore what will be most helpful for you. Weekend and evening appointments available. My beliefs include: There is no such thing as unusual behavior if you know someone's whole story • We don’t exist in a vacuum • Science is real • Black lives matter • Women’s rights and LGBTQ+ rights are human rights • The struggle is real but we don't have to go through it alone • Kindness and social justice are worth fighting for.
Have you ever felt overwhelmed in your life? Like things were out of your control? Have you ever felt stuck in patterns that you know are unhelpful? Have you ever wanted to make a change but were unsure of how to take the first step? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then art therapy can be a helpful resource for you. Hi, I'm Catherine, and I'm an Art Therapist. Since 2007, I have been helping my clients engage in their own art making, creativity, and self-inquiry as a way to find ease among life’s many challenges. As an Art Therapist and a Registered Yoga Teacher, I can guide you in art making, mindfulness, yoga, and self-compassion to help you relieve stress, cope with anxiety and depression, restore your energy, and discover new and creative ways to cope with simply being human. I understand the healing powers of creativity, mindfulness, and yoga not only from my work as an Art Therapist but because I have experienced the profound benefits myself for chronic pain, difficult life transitions, grief and loss, and professional burnout. Because of this experience, it is my mission to help you navigate this stressful time in your life and find the tools from within to leave you feeling calm, capable, and confident in whatever situation you may be facing.

Substance abuse and addiction affect millions of people. Whether you are struggling with alcohol or drugs, there is a way to overcome those struggles and lead a happy and productive life. Addiction is a subtle foe, and will make people believe they can handle their problems by themselves. The truth is, most people cannot. I believe in meeting clients where they are, and tailoring treatment to the individual. Everyone has a different story and a different life situation, but the way addiction makes people feel about themselves is Universal. I have over 25 years of experience working with people trying to recover. I offer individual and family substance abuse and addiction counseling, and recovery coaching. It would be my privilege to be able to help you.
