Treating my clients with respect is my utmost priority. I am genuine; others find it easy to talk to me about their problems. I do not claim to have all the answers, but I strive to stay educated regarding all therapies that could be helpful to you, the client. I tend to focus more heavily on a strength-based perspective when delivering therapy. I want my clients to know that I respect them. By agreeing to begin therapy, you have taken one of the most courageous steps toward a peaceful life. I'm a therapist with Octave and Evernorth Behavioral Care Group. Octave is a mental health practice providing high-quality care covered by multiple insurances. Evernorth Behavioral Care Group is a behavioral health provider group in-network with Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth. For my availability, please reach out to Octave’s team by emailing or calling.

Hi, I’m Tabitha Cantu, MSW, LCSW, and I provide virtual therapy to women in university as I understand the challenges college can bring. Many of the women I work with are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, boundaries, life transitions, relationship challenges, family conflict, self-esteem concerns, and the pressures of school, work, and everyday life. As a Hispanic woman who has lived and worked in different states across the U.S., I’ve had the privilege of connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and communities. These experiences have broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of the unique culture, communities, and challenges individuals face, and shaped the compassionate, culturally responsive approach I bring to therapy. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, integrating evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies to help clients build coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and create meaningful change. Whether you’re adjusting to college life, managing academic stress, working through relationship concerns, or seeking greater confidence and balance, therapy can provide a space to explore challenges and develop practical tools for growth. I currently offer virtual therapy sessions throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Florida.

Y’all. Adulting is hard. You might be finishing school, moving out, starting a career, or trying to make big life choices that feel like they’ll define your future. It’s a lot. Between the pressure to “have your sh** together” and constantly comparing yourself to others, it’s easy to feel lost, anxious, depressed, or stuck. Stepping into adulthood can be exciting–and overwhelming. No matter how much you’ve prepared yourself for this moment, change is tough and let’s be real–adulting is hard. Growing up doesn’t come with a roadmap ( I know, I wish it did too.), but that’s because everyone’s path can look different. Many young adults come to therapy for help with challenges like: -Anxiety or stress about school, work, the future, and feeling “behind” -Overthinking and self-doubt that won’t turn off -Difficulty making decisions or feeling stuck in “what’s next” -Identity exploration–figuring out values, goals, or sense of self -Relationship changes with friends, family, or partners -Depression from not feeling like you’re good enough -Burnout from trying to do it all -Life transitions, like moving out, finishing college or starting a new job These challenges are adult growing pains, like when your legs used to hurt before you grew a couple inches. But you know, emotionally. Maybe you also have some baggage from the past that can make navigating these challenges even more difficult (Thanks parents!).

College can be an exciting time, but it can also feel overwhelming. Between classes, relationships, friendships, family expectations, work, and figuring out who you are, it's easy to feel like you're supposed to have everything figured out when you're still trying to find your footing. I'm Grace, and I'm a therapist who works with young adults navigating anxiety, self-doubt, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, identity, and the pressure to "have it all together". My approach is warm, collaborative, and judgement-free. Therapy isn't about telling you what you SHOULD do. It's a space where you can slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and build a life that actually feels like yours. Whether you're struggling to manage the demands of college, feeling disconnected from yourself, navigating a difficult relationship, or simply feel like something is "off", you don't have to figure it out alone. We can work together to understand what's underneath the stress, strengthen your relationship with yourself, and help you feel more confident moving forward. I offer a free 15 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit. Feel free to email me to set one up. I can't wait to meet you!

I am a licensed therapist passionate about helping people live authentic, intentional, value-filled lives. Getting to what matters and figuring out what is standing in your way isn’t going to be easy, but I promise I’ll work hard with you and that we’ll even share a few laughs along the way. My style is pretty laid back but I still think it’s important to have structure in our work so you have a clear idea of what we are working on and where we are headed. Our relationship is one of the most important factors for a positive outcome in therapy. This means I continuously work on connecting, communicating, and accepting what it’s like to be you with your experiences. I work hard to understand how culture, race, religion, spirituality, gender, and sexuality play a role in your life and decisions while holding gently that I can never truly understand what it’s like to be you.
