I am a bilingual (Spanish/English) Licensed clinical social worker in the state of Texas. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, and end-of-life concerns. My work focuses on helping clients develop insight into their experiences, identify effective coping strategies, and build secure connections that promote emotional well-being. Your first session is a space to begin sharing your story and to explore what brought you to therapy. We'll take time to discuss your current concerns, personal history, and what you'd like to accomplish in therapy. I'll explain how the therapeutic process works, answer any questions you may have, and work with you to identify goals that feel realistic and meaningful. We offer trauma informed therapy for children, teens, and adults, in-person in South Austin, telehealth available to all Texas residents. I specialize in helping women in their 20s and 30s who are struggling with anxiety in relationships and sex, or those who are processing past sexual trauma or toxic relationships. Many of my clients notice patterns or traits within themselves which are impacting their relationships and intimacy, leaving them feeling disconnected and at a loss for what might help. In addition to my work with adults, I also enjoy working with children and adolescents (ages 3-18), especially those who are neurodivergent or highly sensitive. With a background as a Preschool Teacher, a Registered Behavior Technician working with children on the Autism Spectrum, and as a long-time babysitter, I am able to connect deeply with young people to help them feel understood. My personal experience growing up with undiagnosed ADHD, which manifested as an inability to regulate my emotions, extreme sensitivity, and emotional outbursts, informs this work. I approach this work as an opportunity to nurture my own inner child and offer the support I wish I’d had growing up. I utilize a client-centered, strengths-based approach to play therapy in order to help the children I work with feel safe to express themselves authentically. My approach is compassionate and trauma-informed, integrating Nervous System Regulation, Somatic Experiencing, Attachment Theory, and Trauma-Informed Care to help you rebuild trust in yourself and cultivate healthier relationships. My priority is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable exploring your emotions and experiences without judgment. In our work together, we’ll explore your past and present, identify patterns, and create a plan for healing.

Perhaps one of the hardest decisions in life is to seek help. You are used to handling everything yourself, but you don’t have to do this alone. We all encounter challenges and/or disadvantages at one point in life, and it is easy to feel discouraged and criticize yourself in this process. Although these difficulties can affect you in profound and painful ways, I believe that they are also opportunities to learn about yourself—acknowledge what is not working and find what will work. This journey is quite exhausting for one person, so I aim to become a part of your support system. As a counselor, I hope to empower each individual to make personal choices that will allow them to discover confidence, direction, happiness, peace, and healing. My role as a therapist is to, first and foremost, create a safe space for your stories to be heard and understood. I will listen to your experiences with compassion, warmth, curiosity, hope, respect, and trust. I believe in genuineness and transparency in the therapeutic relationship, so I will communicate directly yet gently. I offer a collaborative and individualized therapeutic process that allows you to accomplish your goals. In other words, my approach to counseling varies based on what is the best fit for each client. I use creative methods to increase self-awareness and self-reflection (e.g. mindfulness, writing, drawing, music, poetry, activities) because I believe each person has a unique medium of expression. Your commitment to change is also monumental in this process because you are the expert on your life. I will be there as a guide to help you uncover your true potential. I hold a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. I work with older adolescent and adult individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, interpersonal/relationship issues, OCD, ADHD, grief and loss, trauma/PTSD, LGBTQIA+ related issues, transition and change, anger management, stress management and self-care, social justice issues, and low self-confidence. As an Asian American woman, I celebrate diversity and welcome people from all backgrounds.

Therapy-Tree Counseling

Pre-Licensed Professional

Dripping Springs, TX

At Therapy-Tree, I specialize in helping people navigate the messy & complicated parts of life—and for college students, that often means balancing independence, relationships, academics, and figuring out who you are meant to be. Many of the students I work with share a common thread: they feel the weight of expectations. Sometimes it shows up as perfectionism, people-pleasing, anxiety about the future, or being hard on themselves when things don’t go perfectly. Others are feeling stuck and frozen, untangling relationship patterns, healing from past hurts, or learning how to trust themselves and set boundaries. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I meet you where you are and follow your lead—you’ll get tools, honest conversations, and a safe space where all parts of your story are welcome. Whether we’re exploring stress, identity, relationships, or healing from trauma, my focus is on helping you feel grounded, supported, and more connected to yourself. If you’re a student who wants to be more emotionally regulated, feel more confident, and grow in ways that matter to you, Therapy-Tree might be a good fit.
