Have you ever felt like everyone else has life figured out except you? Maybe you're balancing classes, work, family, or relationships while trying to hold it all together. On the outside, you seem capable, but inside you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, or wondering why you can't just "push through." You're not alone. I work with students and young adults who are used to carrying a lot on their own. Together, we'll slow down, make sense of what's happening, and build practical tools to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself. As a first-generation college graduate and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I recognize how identity, culture, and lived experience shape our mental health. I'm committed to creating a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. Therapy with me is a space where you can show up as you are, explore what matters most, and cultivate the self-trust to navigate life's challenges. If this resonates with you, I'd love to connect. I offer free 15-minute consultations where we can get to know each other, discuss your goals, and determine whether we're a good fit. Reach out by email or through our website to get started.

I was inspired to become a therapist after years of working for a non profit, providing residential case management for adults with severe and persistent mental illness and seeing the effects of unprocessed trauma and ongoing mental and emotional distress. During that time, I reflected upon my own experiences with therapy and how beneficial and life changing it was for me. I will make my clients feel heard and understood by creating and maintaining a supportive environment that is free from judgement and full of compassion, empathy, and honesty. My clients will be reminded that they are the experts regarding their lives, and I am there to work alongside them in an effort to achieve their therapeutic goals. I build trust by being authentic and being genuinely curious about the client that I am working with, including their interests, who they are as a person, and how I can best support them. I allow the client to determine the direction of the session while stepping in when needed, to encourage the discussion of topics or areas that may be difficult for the client talk about. I have gotten into the habit of “romanticizing” my life. Where I take some of my everyday tasks, and add a little extra style or care. For example, I love waking up in the morning and putting on a cute outfit and going to get an iced caramel coffee, before starting my day.

As human beings, we often find ourselves wanting more freedom, or perhaps wanting more purpose in our lives, or craving a sense of inner peace. Other times, we find ourselves caught up in difficult and challenging relationships in our personal lives or at work. Whether your life feels overwhelming or underwhelming, I believe that care and courage, along with some healthy curiosity can go a long way in helping you locate new possibilities and finding solutions that work for you. My process is not a one-size-fits-all affair. Indeed, the work we do together is unique to each and every individual I encounter and always begins with accepting you just as you are. Beginning the self-exploration of therapy is an act of courage. I respect your bravery by always providing a calm, warm, and nonjudgmental space to discuss and process your concerns. Together, we’ll collaborate in clarifying your goals, identifying effective strategies, and finding a path that will work for you.

Welcome! I am a trauma-informed, liberation-oriented art therapist offering virtual therapy for young adults in Georgia. I take a systems-based approach to mental health, considering the mind-body connection, the health of relationships, and the impacts of systemic oppression. I advocate for collective liberation as a key aspect of trauma healing and prioritize creating an affirming and accessible space for 2SLGBTQIA+, BIPOC, neurodivergent, and disabled or chronically ill folks. As an art therapist, I believe that creating art can help to express emotions, regulate the nervous system, and communicate with the self and others. Options for incorporating art therapy include visual journaling, creating eco-art with natural materials, integrating digital art, making zines, and more. Anyone can benefit from art therapy, regardless of their artistic background, as the focus is on the process and personal reflection, without judgment or pressure to perform! My approach to therapy is holistic and non-pathologizing, incorporating strength-based and person-centered approaches to honor your inner wisdom and celebrate your resilience and growth. I also integrate mindfulness, attachment theory, and somatic practices to support you with finding balance and feeling grounded.

As a psychotherapist, I create a safe space whereby building a relationship, unraveling issues, demystifying oneself, voicing hopes and dreams, and developing wisdom and insight, one can emerge from (and exist in) the forest that is life with a deeper understanding of how to navigate one's mind and the world around us. It is my philosophy that great psychotherapy not only addresses the issues on the table, but also guides one towards greater overall life fulfillment. I have extensive experience is CBT, ACT, psychodynamic and mindfulness approaches working with a variety of populations, mental barriers and social challenges. By developing together the skills of psychological flexibility, I aim to equip you with the skills to successfully endure future hardships on your own in an imperfect world where negative experiences and events are outside of our control. In turn, allowing you to live a life that is gratifying, authentic, rich, purposeful and well-adapted. Aside from my academic training, my psychotherapy approach is also informed by my own queer identity, my multicultural immigrant background, existential worldview, social justice, and the realities of people of working class and low socio-economic experiences. Just like many other life transitions, the college and university experience can bring a mix of excitement and uncertainty. College students often face challenges with decision-making, adjusting to new environments, socializing, and managing increased responsibilities. These struggles can contribute to heightened anxiety, loneliness, and symptoms of depression, making it difficult to navigate this pivotal time in life. College-related anxiety can show up in many forms, ranging from mild, everyday stress to more extreme fears. The uncertainty of the future and what happens after college can trigger deep worries, even if those concerns aren’t based on personal experiences. You’re not alone—many students share these feelings as they face the unknown. As an anxiety therapist for college students, I take a unique approach to therapy. I work with you to uncover the root causes of your anxiety, and together, we create a treatment plan that suits your needs, whether you’re seeking short-term relief or long-term support. With an integrative approach that considers both mental and physical health, I help college students address their psychological struggles from every angle. Therapy is a collaborative process, where we’ll identify your specific concerns and develop personalized coping skills and techniques to guide you through these challenging times. Together, we’ll navigate your journey to mental wellness and help you build the resilience you need to thrive.

I specialize in supporting high-achieving professionals, especially those in academia or the helping profession (doctors, nurses, therapists, pastors), who grapple with perfectionism, difficulty setting boundaries, codependency, and the challenge of prioritizing their own needs amidst the many demands of their personal and professional lives. As an immigrant, I bring a rich, cross-cultural perspective to therapy and a deep appreciation for how culture shapes identity, relationships, and mental health. Many of my clients are navigating complex intersections of cultural expectations, academic roles, and personal values. In addition to my clinical practice, I am a professor and active researcher. My academic work focuses on interpersonal trauma and its impact on relationships and meaning-making. This dual identity as both clinician and scholar informs my approach: deeply reflective, integrative, and grounded in both science and lived experience. I work exclusively via Telehealth with adult clients residing in GA, MI, and TX. I believe that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship—one that offers both safety and challenges patterns by providing direct and honest feedback. If you're ready to invest in yourself and your well-being, I invite you to reach out.
