I help clients get to know themselves closely. Early adulthood, coming off the chaos of adolescence, is a tough time, exacerbated by this extraordinarily tough time in the world. Working with me means sitting together and listening very carefully to you. As we listen together on a journey to discern your true self, we will hear many voices. Memories will surface. Feelings will come up. By exploring yourself in our treatment relationship, you can come to relate to yourself in a new way and gain clarity, confidence, and peace that you can handle what life brings. I specialize in psychodynamic treatment.
Hannah Smith Counseling is actively sex positive and affirming of all ways of consensually expressing oneself. I specialize in sex therapy, identity concerns, trauma, treatment for anxiety. I am also available for a wide variety of issues and predominantly work with individual adults, couples, and polycules! I am deeply passionate about working with LGBT+ communities and Alternative Sexual Expression communities such as BDSM/Kink practitioners, Swingers, and Polyamorous families. I have 13 years direct experience and education regarding LGBT+ communities and culture; as well as 9 years direct experience with Polyamorous and BDSM/ Kink communities and culture. My work comes from a strongly feminist/multicultural theoretical orientation with psychodynamic integration. This basically means I engage in compassionate talk therapy regarding the client’s experiences and thought processes related to how their external world and societal pressures relate to their current distress. I also use tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapies and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to assist in keeping therapy as efficient as possible and to impart concrete tools for long term success. For your convenience, I offer fully online video/voice service counseling for anyone in the state of South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I sincerely look forward to working with you!

Areas of Expertise I help adults facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, substance use, life transitions, and relationship struggles. My approach combines CBT, ACT, DBT, and Self-Compassion Therapy, tailored to each client's goals. My Approach Clients often tell me they appreciate my direct yet compassionate style. I challenge people in a kind, honest way to face what's not working and take real steps toward growth, healing, or acceptance. How I Can Help As a recovering perfectionist, I’ve learned that fulfillment doesn’t come from doing everything “right,” but from living in alignment with what truly matters. I help clients clarify their values, build self-awareness, and take meaningful steps toward lives that feel authentic and sustainable, not just what’s expected. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, I’m here to support you.
Welcome! As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), I believe that making mental health a priority is key to creating happiness and overall wellbeing. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, so congratulations on taking that step! I’ve been practicing for over 30 years, and I am now focused on clients aged 12-70 who are struggling with anxiety and depression. Everyone has a unique story and deserves an individualized approach to care. Once we decide to work together, we’ll act as partners in your therapeutic journey. It’s important to me that we communicate openly and you feel respected and empowered in our relationship. I’ll be there to listen to you, challenge you, and support you along the way.
College can bring a lot: new freedom, pressure to succeed, and the stress of figuring out who you are and where you are headed. Many of the students I work with feel weighed down by anxiety, burnout, overthinking, imposter syndrome, or the pressure to be perfect. Others are coping with ADHD, past/current trauma, anxiety and social anxiety or just the everyday stress of classes, relationships, and big transitions. With 12 years of experience working in university counseling centers, I have a deep understanding of the unique challenges of college and graduate students' lives. In our work together, you will find a supportive space to talk honestly about what is on your mind, learn coping tools to manage stress, and feel more grounded and confident. My goal is to help you feel less alone and more able to handle the challenges of college life.

I am a cancer survivor, an active duty military spouse, and a child of grief after losing my father at a young age to addiction. Building resilience and fostering hope is not just something that I practice professionally, I have lived it. These experiences combined with my clinical background have given me a unique perspective on healing. I value the realness of showing up as yourself in and out of the therapy room. When I am not wearing my therapist “hat” you can find me at the movies, cuddled up on the couch with my two fur babies, or in the kitchen. I am a serious foodie, dog mama, bookworm, Bravo-binge-watcher, coffee fiend, and yes….I am a millennial. I love to paint, listen to 90s country, decorate for the holidays, and travel (when I can!).

I am Dr. Garraway. I am a helper and I have a knack for finding remote and unexpected places to reinvigorate in touch. One secret of success is always being myself, colloquial, informal, and humorous. While evidence-based, I counsel from the familiar, practical, and everyday examples. My practice is 100% remote but still 100% warm, compassionate, and human. Here you will find a mental health psychotherapist, who specializes in substance-use treatment for adults and couples. I teach you how to listen to and honor the various parts of yourself that seek a voice, whether that be a thought, feeling, or observation, while challenging self-limiting beliefs, using a kind and loving approach that is transferable to other life challenges.

Life was supposed to get easier after high school, after college, after landing your dream job... but something still feels missing. Despite feeling like you have things 'figured out', you struggle to settle in and find balance. I specialize in working with anxiety, perfectionism and trauma. Some of the techniques I use when working with clients include EMDR, ERP, and sandray. Curiosity and compassion are the basis to my counseling approach. In our sessions, we will work together at your pace to understand the layers of your experience. I hope to help you find self-compassion, new perspectives, and healing

My approach to therapy centers around the belief that every individual has inherent dignity, and is worthy to be seen, heard, and cared for. Anyone is welcome into my office. Every life experience is unique, and often these experiences can carry specific hurts, pains and sorrows. When life feels overwhelmingly challenging and burdensome, counseling can be a wonderful mechanism to assist in times of need. I believe that peace and joy are possible, and that no story is hopeless, because no story is done being written. As a client, I want you to feel safe and most importantly, listened to. As you get the chance to share your story with me, my goal is to build trust with you and help establish what you'd like to work on. According to your specific wants and needs, we will collaborate together and use a variety of therapeutic approaches to get you to a better place. Whatever season you're in, you don't have to walk it alone. Please don't hesitate to reach out to find what you need during this time.
