Hello and welcome! I’m Chelsea, a second-year Master’s student in Clinical Social Work at Columbia University, and I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Communication from Wake Forest University. My pronouns are she/her. My work focuses on areas such as self-care, life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. As I work towards my LCSW license and plan to open my own practice, my primary goal is to provide a warm and accepting space where you feel genuinely supported. In our sessions, I use a blend of psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, client-centered approaches, and DBT to tailor our work to your individual needs. I am committed to creating an environment where you feel truly heard and respected as we navigate your emotions and experiences together. I understand that reaching out for support takes courage, and I am here to empower you as we develop coping skills, discuss your experiences, and work through life’s challenges. I look forward to partnering with you and supporting you every step of the way. Chelsea is a therapist-in-training at Sol Health. College can bring a lot: new freedom, pressure to succeed, and the stress of figuring out who you are and where you are headed. Many of the students I work with feel weighed down by anxiety, burnout, overthinking, imposter syndrome, or the pressure to be perfect. Others are coping with ADHD, past/current trauma, anxiety and social anxiety or just the everyday stress of classes, relationships, and big transitions. With 12 years of experience working in university counseling centers, I have a deep understanding of the unique challenges of college and graduate students' lives. In our work together, you will find a supportive space to talk honestly about what is on your mind, learn coping tools to manage stress, and feel more grounded and confident. My goal is to help you feel less alone and more able to handle the challenges of college life.
Welcome, I'm glad you are here. If you need a safe space to talk it out, I am here to listen. If you need to cry, yell, lament, or laugh I am here for it! I find it is beneficial, for those that I work with, to talk and to do. I often incorporate creative experiences, outdoor therapy, and movement as integral parts of the counseling process. I consider myself informal, personable, often humorous, and accepting of others. I'm looking forward to meeting you soon.

I am an associate Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who sees teens and young adults adults facing a variety of challenges like anxiety, ADHD, depression, relationship issues, life changes and interpersonal conflict. My passion is working with student athletes. As a high school and travel softball coach of several years, I am uniquely qualified in helping young individuals develop mental health skills they can carry with them throughout life, both on and off the field/court. I see the concerns and needs of teens to be unique and require a different approach than one I may take with adults. Overall, I find it important to see individuals for all that they are, helping them to create their identity and see the value within themselves as a person and not just in what they do or how they perform. All people, but especially young people, want to feel heard and seen. I prioritize authenticity and relationship with clients - working to create a comfortable space of trust, understanding, and growth.
My experience is primarily with Gen-Z and Millennials wanting to address anxiety, depression, relational concerns (communication, boundary setting, self-awareness, etc), religious trauma, and life transitions. Some niche areas include: Christians who don't want Christian therapy, exhausted performers / resentful people-pleasers, anxious change-resisters who struggle when newness comes, and those who want to grow in boundary setting and their sense of self. I'm a huge advocate for narrative therapy. Story-telling is healing and gives context for how we became who we are today. As we understand our stories and the labels we've acquired throughout our lives, we gain self-compassion and the ability to more effectively navigate our present-day lives. Please reach out to set up a consult call to see if the therapy vibes are there. If you'd rather text, my text-only number is: (704) 762-1162.
As a Therapist, I help people who want to find their voice, feel understood, and gain insight about themselves but who may also fear change, being seen, losing themselves, or maybe have difficulty letting go of instilled habits and beliefs. I am neurodiversity-affirming, LGBTQIA-affirming, and culturally competent and sensitive. Sound like you? Let me help! - Lisa A. Barella, MS, LCMHCA, NCC

I work with clients who are grappling with anxiety, depression, and stress. Many are dealing with changes in their family, including substance use, codependency, and relationship issues. My clients are diverse but they all want to feel understood, heard, and validated. The most important part of therapy is the rapport between the clinician and the client, which is known as unconditional positive regard. The client needs to feel supported so that they can freely discuss the presenting problem. Throughout this process, I strive to be warm, empathetic, and knowledgeable; clients have previously described me as patient and open minded.

People I work with often are starting out in therapy or interested in moving towards trauma work. If you're interested in learning how to slow it down, use mindfulness, or feel more connected to your body, I utilize narrative and somatic techniques to help people reclaim their peace, energy, and rest. As an Asian-Mexican-American psychotherapist, I enjoy helping people learn more about connecting to ancestry, spirituality, community healing and peer support resources that remind us we are all connected. When I'm not doing therapy I love going to the beach, writing, camping/hiking/backpacking, and traveling.
I have specialized in working with college and university undergraduate and graduate students since my graduate training and I have worked in six different college and university counseling centers. I have innate knowledge about the experiences that are relevant to college and undergraduate students and it is my mission to provide support in helping navigate the journey during this integral time of development. I have experience supporting students through general academic stress and concerns as well as compounding stressors relevant to diversity, culture and identity. Finally, I understand the intersection that other factors have during the college and university experience (i.e., family, friend and romantic relationship building and conflict, social injustice, financial stress, career uncertainty, etc.)

Dr. Dietz's work as a psychologist is rooted in the belief that there is healing power in connection and in sharing one’s story. She works to provide an affirming space that allows clients to explore their experiences and challenges in a more nuanced and compassionate manner. Human beings have an innate need to feel seen and understood. In an increasingly isolating world, therapy offers clients the opportunity to feel less alone in their struggles, while also offering practical coping skills and strategies for growth. Sarah adopts a collaborative approach with clients, to ensure therapy is addressing goals that are valuable and relevant to each individual. Sarah is intentional about approaching clinical work with a multicultural lens as a means of acknowledging and honoring all aspects of clients’ identities and lived experiences. Sarah utilizes a trauma-informed and grief-informed framework to avoid pathologizing normative reactions to trauma and loss. Sessions will often include psychoeducation to help clients better understand and contextualize their challenges, experiences, and reactions.
