Many of my clients come to me with emotional wounds. They often felt invisible, rejected, devalued, or deeply hurt by others. They learned to adapt to the unsupportive environment by judging themselves, tensing up, trying to control everything, disconnecting from themselves, numbing their feelings, not trusting others, hiding, or trying to please everyone. As time goes by, these strategies stop working and become symptoms we label as depression, anxiety, disordered eating, substance use, PTSD, self-harm, etc. I work with clients to break free from the past and live life in the way they want. I offer a safe space where clients feel seen, accepted and empowered. I collaborate with clients to set goals and identify/build on their strengths. I use body-based therapies (EMDR, SP, Mindfulness, etc) to help clients resolve past trauma. I incorporate ACT and DBT to help clients manage stressors more effectively and live more meaningful/fulfilling lives. As a BIPOC psychologist and bilingual immigrant, I have extensive experience serving clients with marginalized identities. I show curiosity and respect to client’s lived experiences related to their identities and feel honored to be able to support clients in breaking barriers and living up to their full potentials. If any of these speak to you, let’s chat!

Are you dealing with an issue related to sex, sexuality, or relationships and in need of a knowledgeable, non-judgemental space to sort through it all? Are struggles with body image, self-esteem, or life transitions making you (or a teen in your life) want to tear your hair or hide under a rock? Are you dealing with grief over losing a person, pet, or role that was dear to you? If you answered "yes" to any of the above, we're a good fit for each other! My approach is compassionate and realistic. I want you to be heard and have the space to process your feelings and experiences while also working toward some form of resolution. If you're seeking support on something related to sex or death, I'm your girl. I have over a decade of experience supporting people on issues of sex, sexuality, and relationships. On the grief end of things, I'm a death doula and certified grief counselor. This all adds up to a comfort topics that it can feel extra-difficult or taboo to seek support for.

I enjoy working with folks who are navigating issues of anxiety, depression, ADHD, perfectionism, emotion regulation, grief, stress management, or relationship dynamics & communication skills. Therapy can also be a great place to receive support from a neutral person not already involved in your life, potentially to help develop self-awareness, self-confidence, or explore your future goals & plans. I especially enjoy working with University students who are pursuing their Masters or PhD degrees in Graduate School, though I also work with many Undergrad students adjusting to college life as well. Additionally, I have experience with student athletes & the intersection of mental health with sports performance.

Do you need guidance navigating difficult emotions, past trauma, family and life transitions. Are you someone who struggles with depression or anxiety, connection to others, or could use a neutral perspective and someone to talk to? Everyone wants to feel safe and supported while going through challenges. I work with teens and young adults to explore different ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving to increase self-awareness and improve functioning. My therapeutic approach involves acceptance and non-judgment. I use interventions that foster natural strengths, and work in collaboration with clients to build skills aligned with their specific needs, capabilities, and goals. Clients gain valuable tools rooted in evidenced based practice, that aim to explore root causes of distress and develop resiliency. Confronting personal difficulties is not easy and I approach counseling with compassion, empathy, confidentiality and trust. Together we can create new coping strategies, positive social connections, self-esteem and confidence in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

Starting therapy can feel daunting, so take a moment to acknowledge that you have come this far in recognizing therapy may be a helpful approach for you. Therapy requires self-reflection, an open heart, and a curious mind into learning about ourselves and the way in which we interact with the world and those around us. Although it may be daunting, it is incredibly rewarding to unpack and understand what is getting in the way of happiness, growth, intimacy, and self-compassion. My purpose as a therapist is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where individuals can explore the deep rooted issues and patterns that make them feel "stuck". I support clients with strategies pulled from EMDR, mindfulness, yoga, and other person-centered approaches.

You have the weight of the world on your shoulders, and have for a very long time. As a child, you had to grow up quickly and take on adult roles, because you had a parent who wasn’t always able to be fully present. Overwhelming emotional pain weighs on you. And you’ve found that the emotional pain shows up as physical pain too - a literal heartache, muscle aches, or back pain. You’ve also lost your appetite or find yourself eating more than usual. You went through something horrific. And you thought you had dealt with it, you thought you could handle it on your own, but it keeps popping its pesky little head up in your current life and relationships. Speaking of which, you have a history of unsuccessful relationships. You long for closeness and intimacy - being validated, loved, and understood - but you can’t seem to avoid toxic people and/or sabotaging the good relationships because when there’s love and harmony you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. Sometimes as a result of the way you’ve been treated, you question your own worth and value. You worry that your life will never be the same. The fear gnaws at you sometimes that maybe you will never get out from under this boulder of responsibility and heartache on your shoulders. You worry you will never be free. Like my clients, you deserve to find your footing, and discover healing and meaning in life again. Making a full recovery is not out of reach. If you want to not just move on, but move forward, I’d love to help you get there.

I enjoy working with students at the collegiate level. It can be such an exciting time of life, but can also present unique challenges that create uncertainty and impact mental health. I am here to support this adjustment period, whether you are struggling with anxiety or depression, or experiencing executive function challenges. I have the ability to see you via telehealth or in person, and am able to collaborate with your provider at home (if you're attending from out of state) to continue or adjust medications while in the state of Oregon.

I specialize in trauma therapy, with extensive experience supporting survivors of sexual violence and other traumatic experiences. If you’ve been through something overwhelming, it can feel like a fog has settled over you, affecting every part of your life. You might find yourself overthinking, being on edge, shutting down, or feeling numb, even when you want to feel present and connected. Many people I work with feel stuck in this space and are unsure how to move forward. Together, we’ll work to understand and process your emotions, thoughts, and past experiences so they no longer hold the same power over you. I use EMDR and other approaches to help you address what’s at the core of your symptoms. Feeling safe and understood is essential to this work. We’ll move at a pace that’s manageable for you, creating a space where you can show up as you are without pressure or judgment. While this is a vulnerable process, it’s also what allows for deep, lasting healing. Therapy can help you relate to yourself with more clarity and compassion, develop new patterns, and move toward the life you want to live. If you’re ready to feel more grounded, connected, and fully yourself—and to feel more in control of your life—I invite you to reach out. We’ll start with a conversation and see if working together feels like a good fit.

Humor is something I like to incorporate into therapy; however, we can be serious about your concerns too. People of all ages struggle with human suffering and sometimes you need someone to walk with you through that, whether it be something you wish to change or something that you cannot. I aim to help my clients make meaning in life while also identifying the connections between our individual concerns and larger systems in life. I provide individual therapy for a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, identity exploration, and trauma, with specialized experience supporting people through grief, traumatic loss, and substance use concerns. My clients have expressed appreciation for my ability to sit with them in their suffering, when they have felt most alone. I have multiple years of experience previously working in college counseling centers. During these experiences, I supported students from a variety of backgrounds and found a lot of joy in helping students at a unique intersection in their lives. I have been lucky to work with a diverse student population and have supported many queer and trans students in exploring their gender and sexual identities while also addressing other mental health concerns. In addition, I was able to support BIPOC students as they addressed systemic issues within the university, while also exploring their individual racial identities. I further co-facilitated a family-trauma group during my time at a university counseling center. Thus, I find that I greatly appreciate being able to sit with students who are addressing these concerns. I am a Psychologist Resident in OR. I have my doctorate and five years of experience providing therapy, however, to become licensed in OR I must complete a supervised residency. I am supervised by Dr. Carrie McMullin (OR 2963). College is a time of huge transitions, and it’s easy to feel anxious, stressed, or unsure where you stand. If you're struggling with overwhelming worry (anxiety), feeling stuck after a tough transition (like starting school or a breakup), grappling with past trauma, or just trying to figure out challenging relationships, you've come to the right place. Your Therapy, Your Tools My practice is built on the belief that you already have what you need within you (though it may not feel like it, right now) —we just need to clear out all the noise and find and focus on what actually works for you. We'll ease your mind: We use practical, science-backed strategies to help you unhook from negative thought spirals and calm that constant feeling of being "on edge." We'll discover and heal the root causes : We'll gently explore the "parts" of you that are feeling anxious, unclear, or worn out, and use powerful processing methods to reduce the intensity of recent or past trauma or fear (like EMDR and IFS). We'll help you adjust: Whether you're dealing with the stress of major life transitions or trying to set healthier boundaries in relationships, we'll create space for you to process the change and build a stronger sense of self. We'll get you grounded: I integrate the calming power of nature-based tools (in or out of the office) to help your nervous system slow down, allowing you to find a peaceful space even when deadlines are looming. We’ll work together, at your own pace, to move you from feeling overwhelmed to thriving on campus and beyond. Ready to take a breath and start building a college experience that feels authentic and manageable? Let's connect.

I am passionate about helping students improve their mental health. I have experience working with students for over 16 years. I will work to help you identify patterns that are keeping you stuck, stagnant, and from reaching your full potential. I have supported students experiencing generalized and academic anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), ADHD, depression, chronic and acute medical conditions, life adjustments, stress management, grief and loss, and trauma. I am committed to supporting individuals heal from their traumatic experiences and allowing their vulnerable selves to feel seen. I have experience working with students who have experienced sudden grief and loss, traumatic break-ups, and psychological, physical, and sexual abuse. I have experience working with BIPOC and LGBTQIA2+ students who are experiencing discrimination, marginalization, dismissal, and micro and macro aggressions. I have completed trainings and hold certifications in EMDR, ACT, DBT, CBT, and Mindfulness. Therapy is a courageous act that requires vulnerability, authenticity, and an openness to self-discovery.
